Ever thought about how you used to rock certain trends back in the day and how it was the cat’s meow but now it’s not even relevant? Us too! Here are five trends of the past that are making a comeback fast and we’ve missed them!
#1 CHOKERS
Chokers were the ultimate statement piece that said “I’m edgy but I also like to be slightly fashion savvy.” Although they began as a signature style piece of the punk- grunge community, they evolved into one of the biggest hits of the 80’s! They may be slowly making their way back but they need to put the pedal to the metal because we are getting impatient. One of the best things about this trend is the fact that if you do not have the funds to go out and drop a few bucks on an actual choker necklace, they are super easy to make using an old head band! Overall, chokers are a great way to complement your Chvker jewelry collection of rings, bracelets and necklaces.
#2 GLOSSY LIPS
Yes, yes, we know. What about the liquid lipsticks? Why would you possibly want to trade those? Well, it isn’t about getting rid of the matte lip. It’s about making the glossy lip popular again. The thing is that although matte lips are very cute, they do not work for everyone’s skin type. Many people who have dry skin can not wear liquid lipsticks without the in-avoidable peeling and flaking, no matter how much chapstick you apply beforehand!! I am one of these people. Therefore, let’s show a little love to the glossy lip products. And, you gotta admit that shine makes your pout look perfect.
#3 HOOP EAR RINGS
Hoop ear rings were something that every fabulous diva wore back in the late 90s and early 2000s! Studs are cool and industrials are trending. But, it would not be such a bad idea to implement the hoop ear rings as the next jewelry comeback!
#4 TRACK SUITS
Leggings, leggings, leggings. That is all you can think of now a days when it comes to the fall and the winter time. Yes, they are quite comfortable and very easy to throw on with a big t shirt and some snow boots. Yet, does anyone remember how sexy, sassy and snug the velour track suit was just a few years ago? It’s easy to dress us or dress down and they were always so smooth on the skin and warm in the Winter! Let’s make these happen again!
#5 THE SCHOOL GIRL ENSEMBLE
Lastly, you have the school girl ensemble from the 90’s. Clearly, we all remember that ultra cool Clueless movie with Cher and her wardrobe, but how about this become the new look for youths today. Many teens still have to wear uniform so why not jazz it up and make it trendy. So what you have to wear that tacky plaid skirt? You can rock it with confidence and add your accessories, a bomb blazer and a little touch of individuality!
