Gigi was recently body shamed from some Internet trolls (ugh). The supermodel graciously took to social media and addressed the name-calling and talked about body insecurities. It’s a breath of fresh air to have someone as flawless as Hadid be real and raw with her insecurities, she is human after all, and we love her for it. Which brings us to our next point..

Gigi is a refreshing deviation from the supermodel norm. She’s got a booty, and a chest, and she totally rocks it. We celebrate all women and body types, and we love that Hadid brings some variety from the very thin world of modeling. Gigi’s sister Bella recently spoke about her sister saying something people don’t know about her is that she’s really funny! This year Gigi fulfilled her dreams of walking the VS runway in their annual fashion show. What her fans may not know is that it wasn’t her first time trying out for the gig. In an interview Gigi’s mom Yolanda Foster spoke about how her daughter had tried out, and been turned away from the VS fashion show twice before she was accepted. But she didn’t give up! Gigi had her eye on the prize and returned time after time to try out for a spot on the highly coveted runway. Her perseverance paid off and she was able to fulfill a life long dream of walking in the show. We can all take a page out of her book and remember to never give up on our dreams!
