Have you ever thought about how the reigning Queen Bey has changed her style over the years? Well, we have! This article i going to demonstrate the evolution of Beyoncé’s fashion.
2002
Beyoncé was just branching into her solo career at the time of this image. During the early 2000’s when it was popular to sport bright colors, wild hair do’s and edgy ensembles, Beyoncé is seen in urban chic wear. She rocks a strapless denim mini dress with snap back cap and pointy toe carpenter heels. She certainly was a fan of remaining true to her Texan roots with the Dirty South vibe in this appearance.
2004
Beyonce is seen in this image on the red carpet at the 2004 Grammy’s looking absolutely goddess like in this shiny mustard satin number with fool’s gold jewelry and an updo. Although many felt this outfit was too cohesive due to the similar hue in her dress, jewelry, shoes, air and even the yellow undertones in her skin, the outfit fit her beautifully. Also, you have to remember that in the early 2000’s matching was the thing!
Also during 2004, the recent Gold Member co star was very into sporting a seventies vintage vibe that was prevelant in her fashion throughout that time. Whether she was rocking a velvet long sleeve romper with teased out curls or a slammin’ afro with over the shoulder tops, she was giving us retro life!
2007
2007 was the year that Sasha Fierce really began to show and the singer let all of her inner diva to surface! She worked the red carpet in this stunning floor length metallic gown with dropped neck line and frontal split! Showing off her enviable hourglass by sucking her tight at the waist and flowing smoothly at the hip, this look was certainly a win for Beyoncé!
2011
In the above image, Beyoncé is giving us cultural life with the mermaid cut, Spanish inspired gown. She looks certainly lovely in this body hugging number that does nothing but smooth her curves into the perfect proportions. Also, the combination of black and gold looks lovely against the singer’s caramel skin tone. We are beginning to notice Beyoncé’s love for the color gold!
2013
2013 was Beyonce’s year for simplicity. As you can see in the image above, the singer decided for the first time in her career to attend the Grammy’s in a plain, modest attire. Nonetheless, it may not be a showstopper but it still looked quite classy on her and showed that she can pull off both ends of the fashion spectrum! The black and white jumpsuit with popping red lip was perfectly mod for the occasion.
2016
2016 is Beyoncé’s year for ultimate slayage. She has time for absolutely no one. Whether it’s spilling Lemonade, treading waters at the BET Awards or speaking on black empowerment, she seeks to motivate all women to get in formation and fight for their careers, respect and equality!
