Is it possible to not only be lucky in the fashion in the fashion industry, but at the same time realize your luck is doubled? There are some famous fashion twins out in the fashion world and we are going to give you a behind-the-scenes look at these fashion super stars and their siblings. From print to runway gigs, these twins have found success in the fashion industry times two.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen
These lovely ladies are not only television superstars, but have also transcended to be major moguls in the fashion industry. The television darlings first made an appearance in the long-running television sitcom Full House.
Following their long sitcom run and becoming millionaires by age 10, the twins launched their fashion line, The Row, over 10 years ago. The fashion line was originally known for its spendy price tag and today the line is the go-to brand for the minimal chic, as well a front row favorite worn by those in the industry. The brand is now a multi-million dollar business and the twins opened their first store in Manhattan in 2015.
Not only known for being two of the most famous fashion twins in the world, these ladies have put their celebrity status on the back burner and have taken a behind-the-scenes marketing approach for the fashion line (vs. taking advantage of their famous household name), earning enormous respect from some of the icons in the fashion industry.
Bella and Chloe
Without question, these 4 year-old twins have a better closet than most of the general population. This dynamic duo made a splash when their former entertainment television producer and reporter mom, Lucy Abir, dressed her daughters up in Breakfast at Tiffany’s outfits for a photo shoot for birthday party invitation. The girls became an instant Instagram sensation. People started to follow them during this particular photo session and upload their snapshots onto social media. The 4 year-old twins have built up a following of over 19K on social media, have received the praises from famous celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and have earned #regrams from the likes of Brian Atwood, Jonathan Cheban, and Luann de Lesseps.
Ruth and May Bell
These spectacular models known as “double trouble” have taken the fashion industry by storm. The Bell sisters were discovered at age 16 at a shopping center in Essex, by a modeling scout from Elite. Ruth and May Bell have had regular modeling jobs over the last 4 years, until one of the twins, Ruth Bell, was asked to shave her head for an Alexander McQueen campaign. While the Elite agency understandably voiced their concerns, this bold move turned modeling into a full-time job. Between the two, they built a resume to include Italian Vogue, Urban Outfitters and Top Shop, for just a few of their big campaigns. After, Ruth’s bold head shaving move, she personally worked for two weeks straight, and walked the catwalks of Milan and Paris, preceded by a Saint Laurent advertising campaign.
