Ha, absolutely! I’m Jordan, an american who has been living in Sydney for the past 5 years, and it’s good to be back. I am with Elite, and i’m an over sharer.

How long have you been modeling?
3 years on and off now, but under a year in NY so i feel rather fresh to the industry here.
Whats been the highlight of your career?
Not exactly the high, but i have the fondest memory of my first job. It was a campaign shot with Chris Colls, who I am an enormous fan of! It is a little surreal seeing yourself in a store window for the first time. I’m sure he wouldn’t even remember, but I am so looking forward to crossing paths with him again.
How would you describe your personal style?
As effortless as possible. I love great basics, and always lean towards a more undone look. Nothing makes me feel more self conscious than being overdressed.
What do you most like and dislike about the modeling industry?
The freedom and travel are hands down the best things. And dislike? It’s a bit like, don’t bite the hand that feeds you, no?
Your playing it a little safe! Common, what do you dislike?
Ok, real talk? I hate Instagram! God, that makes me sound so old fashioned. Companies just want the most reach for their money, I get it. That means access to as large of an audience as possible. So girls now (and guys too, I see you) have to excel at self promotion to compete with our insta-famous counterparts. And it is the same for everyone, hair, makeup, photographers, the whole lot. No one wants to be an early adopter anymore, it’s too risky.

Any advice for new models?
Don’t grow up too quickly, and look after your body or i’ll slap that diet coke out of your hand.
So your saying diet coke and cigarettes isn’t a balanced diet??!
Sure, if you want to have a heart attack at 43.
What do you do in your spare time? Hobbies?
Traveling, particularly chasing down a good music festival!
Favorite bands?
At the moment I’m loving Chet Faker, Banks, and Fascinator. Yeah, I know. Not exactly bands.
Whats the hardest part of being a model?
Let’s be honest, it’s not brain surgery. That’s not to say that there isn’t a definite skill set and awareness involved! But The hardest part is probably the irregular, eleventh-hour nature of the industry.
Have you ever thought about quitting?
Yeah absolutely! But it’s not time, i’m not finished yet.
What do you see yourself doing 10 years from now?
Being a wellness coach or a yoga instructor. Inspiring lifestyle upgrades through education and compassionate living sounds like the most rewarding work.
Last question.. Australia or USA!?
Sydney is home for sure, but fuck NYC is cool. I’m here to stay, so for now, USA!
