Cara Delevingne is one of the hottest people on the scene for the fashion industry as of now! If you do not know her just by name then you will remeber her after this article.
Cara Delevingne first began modelling at ten years old with photographer Bruce Weber for Vogue Italia . She contracted with Storm Model Management in 2009 after being scouted by Sarah Doukas who is the founder of Storm.
Delevingne became framous after being scouted by Burberry’s Christopher Bailey in 2012 .Bailey cast her in the company’s spring/summer 2011 campaign. She also walked for Burberry in their 2011 Fashion Week shows, doing the cat walk in London.
Delevingne commenced the early 2012 season by walking in the Chanel Haute-Couture spring show. New York Fashion Week had Delevingne walk in nine shows for fashion houses including Jason Wu, Rag & Bone, Thakoon, Donna Karan, Tory Burch, Oscar de la Renta and Carolina Herrera. In London, Delevingne exclusively took part in the Burberry Prorsum Womenswear autumn/winter 2012 show.
In Milan, she walked for Fendi, Trussardi, Moschino, Blumarine, DSquared2 and Dolce & Gabbana. The final fashion week of the season was the Paris Fashion Week, in which she walked in seven shows for Nina Ricci, Sonia Rykiel, Cacharel, Stella McCartney, Paul & Joe, Kenzo and Chanel.
This was simply within the year 2012! Since then, she has walked in several other fashion shows, photo shoots, covered events and even gotten into acting and singing. She sadly resigned from her modeling career at the end of 2015, announcing that she did not want the stress of such a large career. Now, she plans on focusing on other ventures. Two of her major roles include the Enchantress in Suicide Squad, as well as co starring in Paper towns.
Having won several awards and had a successful career, only in her 20’s, Cara plans on putting her platform to good use and doing some form of giving back to the community. What a well rounded individual.
