You may recognize the famous face of Heidi Klum for her former work as a Victoria’s Secret model, fashion show host or even swimsuit model for GQ and Sports Illustrated. However, she is so much more than that! As one of the highest paid super models to date, she surely has more on her roster than a few lingerie shows and some beach photo shoots. Heidi Klum is a German model, television host, fashion designer, producer and actress.
Her list of hostess ventures is quite long. Some of her most noted jobs include hosting the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Germany’s Next Top Model and Project Runway. She has been nominated for multiple Emmy Awards and won for “Outstanding Host For A Reality Competition Program” in 2013 for her work with Project Runway alongside co-host, Tim Gunn. Some more low key projects she has done are working as spokesmodels for Dannon and H&M. Also, she has appeared as a commercial model in several McDonald’s advertisements, Jordache, Volkswagen and others.
Many people have observed that Heidi’s career has since evolved into that of a business mogul instead of a fashion model since ending her decade plus run with Victoria’s Secret. Though some may see this as odd or as a form of “betrayal” to the fashion industry, it can be viewed as inspirational and admirable. Why? Heidi Klum’s career is a firm example of how everything does not have to be straight and narrow. It is indeed possible to be successful and follow a multifaceted career path. Many believe that after you hang up your modeling hat that you have to retire your career altogether which is far from the truth, as you can see.
As far as her career in fashion design and product design, it has been very lucrative. She has been a partner to many fashion designers & brands such as Adidas, Jordache, Amazon.com, Victoria’s Secret and QVC! Her designs with Victoria’s Secret went so well that they later allowed her to partner with their cosmetics department in creating her own line of beauty entitled “The Heidi Klum Collection.” Her two fragrances, “Heidi Klum” and “Me” reportedly sold very well and gained good critical reception.
With all of these jack pot endeavours, she was picked up by Mattel and awarded the honor of being Barbie’s Ambassador for the 50th year anniversary of the legendary child’s toy. Because of her positive influence and excellent job, there was then a special edition Barbie doll made in her honour.
Heidi Klum is one awesome businesswoman, model, fashion figure in general! Her wise secular choices have led her to an astounding estimated net worth of over $90 million. Some of her charitable acts include being an avid participant of Walks For Kids, a community 5 k walk to support ill children and Red Cross. She was even honored with a Crystal Cross award for her notable contributions. As you can see, Heidi Klum is a great example to all that you can do it all and be successful!
