If you are unaware of who Miranda Kerr is then you must not know much about fashion! She is the lovely baby faced, forever young fashion model who has been ripping the runway since 1997. With steel blue eyes and medium brown hair, she is the picture perfect Australian beauty and she truly earns her keep in the industry!
At the age of 13, she began her thrust into the fashion industry after winning the very competitive model search conducted by Dolly magazine in Australia. She was flown to Sydney and shot her very first magazine spread. Due to her incredibly young appearance, which she still maintains today, people did not appreciate her presence. This did not even phase the girl because she signed with Chic Management’s Sydney division shortly after. Through this agency, she was able to land campaigns for beach wear company, Billabong, Tigerlily, Roxy and One Teaspoon!
After her run with them ended, she moved on to be signed by NEXT Model Management. What a smart career move because the star only grew to further fame from there! She had booked and executed a multitude of runway appearances with a list of brands such as L.A.M.B., Baby Phat, Levi’s, Betsey JOhnson, Neiman Marcus and many others! She also booked editorial campaigns with Elle, Australlian Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Veet. Finishing out her time with the agency, she was allowed to be a guest star in 2006 on the hit fashion design compettion TV show, Project Runway!
In 2007, Miranda Kerr became the very first Australlian model to be offered a contract with Victoria’s Secret in history! After she gladly took the offer, she blew up in the industry as another sweetly sultry Angel amongst household names such as Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Karolina Kurkova, Selita Ebanks and Heidi Klum. She rocked the runway for many of their consecutive shows from 2006-2009, as well their print catalogues. She has been named one of the most humble and down to earth of the models because of her cheerful demeanor and positive outlook on life. This is also evident in her activism for wild life and our ecosystem. Ine if her most notable campaigns was in 2009 when she posed au naturale chained to a tree in Rolling Stone magazine as a part of a campaign.
As you can see, Kerr serves as an awesome example to aspiring models today! What a beauty she is.
