Vanessa Williams is no doubt a stunningly gorgeous woman! She is knocking 30 year old dead with her shocking beauty, even in her 50’s. This model millionaire is a different story than we typically feature. She actually is not known best for her modeling career, she is more so known for how she recovered from a severed modeling-pageantry career.
Vanessa Williams was a pageant competitor all throughout her childhood and adolescence. She was very ambitious, hard working and she stuck to her guns. This led to her having a successful pageant modeling career in her youth, as well as winning innumerable titles and crowns. She even was able to work her way up to making history as the first African America Miss America in 1983. What an accomplishment this was! Sadly, this title was wrongfully snatched from beneath her due to unauthorised photos of her being leaked in a men’s magazine. She was stripped of her title and banned from the organization after her forced resignation.
Well, this did not stop Miss Vanessa Williams from having a successful career. She afterwards ventured into many industries such as music and acting! Williams was a pop hit, turning into her first main 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, topping at No. 8, and her first number one single on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts. The collection achieved platinum status in the U.S. and then earned her a NAACP Image Award and three Grammy Award nominations.
Her last album was Williams way to branch out and test different styles of music that included jazz, hip bounce, rock, and Latin-themed recordings, for example, “Betcha Never” and “You Can’t Run”, both composed and delivered by Babyface. Different singles from the collection incorporated the contemporary hit “The Way That You Love” and the title track. The collection was confirmed platinum in the U.S. by the RIAA and earned her two Grammy Award nominations!
Williams has had a good run in TV. In 2006, Williams got significant media consideration for her comic/villainess part as previous model/magazine imaginative executive turned editorial manager in-boss Wilhelmina Slater in the ABC drama arrangement Ugly Betty. Her execution on the arrangement brought about nomination for extraordinary supporting on-screen character at the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards and in 2008 and 2009, she was named in the exceptional supporting performing artist in a satire arrangement class for Ugly Betty. Some other shows that she has played on are Desperate Housewives and The Librarians. She also starred in the film, Soul Food and made appearances in The Hannah Montana Movie.
With her growing net worth of over 28 million dollars, it is clear that she successfully bounced back from a crashed and burned modeling-pageantry career. With this being so evident, in 2016 the Miss America orgnization issued a public apology to Vanessa Williams. It is clear that she certainly deserved it! She is a great example of how one can manage to bounce back after a set back.
