You’ve prepped your skin and nailed the beauty brief but hours of a full face of make up, primping and priming take their toll. Looking after your skin post show (and shoot) is a critical aspect of your daily beauty routine and Casey’s back to share her top tips to keeping the glow in between.

And make sure you read all the way to the end for a little treat for your feet #headtotoegoodness

Top tricks to keep you fresh off the runway

Take your makeup off immediately. Keep skin super clean, but keep it simple. Try not to use new products during fashion weeks or busy periods of shooting.  Taking makeup on and off using multiple products and multiple times a day is a bit brutal for your skin.

Take your cleansing a step further by using a Clarisonic Skin Brush to get your skin squeaky clean.

If you can splurge a little on treatments, I would suggest microdermabrasion. It’s every models friend. It’s an excellent, deep exfoliating process and is going to cleanse the skin without leaving it obvious or compromised the following day.

For a very simple/organic DIY facial- Fill a bowel with boiling water and add a few drops of essential oils. (Lavender, chamomile and Gernium oils are a great place to start) After letting the steam penetrate your skin make sure to close your pores with a toner, then simply Bask in the glow

If you do suffer from a breakout- don’t touch. No Seriously, DON’T TOUCH. I get it- it’s like a red rag to a spotty bull but there are better ways. Gently exfoliate then apply Tea Tree oil or Mario Badescu Drying Lotion and wait it out. Patience is a virtue

Hydrate, Hydrate and Hydrate some more. It’s properly boring to hear it all the time but lay off sugary drinks and alcohol and NAIL the water. Help your skin from the outside by using a heavy but natural moisturiser such as Weleda Skin Food. Did we say Hydrate?

If you’re lucky enough to be jet-setting around the globe for work; during the flight use a night cream or a hydrating mask. Great options are Ole Henriksen Invigorating Night Treatment or Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate (Don’t forget lip balm too)

During Fashion Week your feet take a literal pounding. Give your trotters some love with heavy moisturisers containing coconut oils, olive oils and shea butter. Wrap them in cling film or a little plastic bag and then cover with socks.
