With 2015 coming to a near end and fashion month at a close, there are some very specific accessory trends that one may want to incorporate into their fall fashion wardrobe. Below is a list of some of the popular items of 2015 – an icing on top of one’s wardrobe so to speak. The fall season proved to not be one of the silent and subtle accessory items. If consumer trends are anything to go by, most women will find these items in their closet sooner rather than later.
Berets. The beret is a soft, round, flat-crowned hat that was original mass produced out of France and Spain in the 19th century in a variety of different material. The beret is back today in full-force adding an accent of sophistication to any outfit no matter what the color.
Fur Shoes. Fur has been used as clothing since the beginning of time, so there really is no question why fur shoes have arrived on the fashion scene. Fur shoes are all the rage that come complete in a variety of shoe styles and colors.
Velvet Shoes. In continuing with the fall shoe theme, velvet shoes are also on the list of popular must-have items. While this accessory is not ideal for harsh outdoor weather, who doesn’t love the look and feel of velvet?
Brooches. Historically, brooches were used to fasten garments on the body. In this season’s popular trend, they come in all shapes and sizes that can be worn on absolutely anything – sweaters, suit jackets, dresses and much more.
Fur Stoles. This trendy women’s shawl can be worn over most outfits, the most popular being a party dress or gown. Fur-collared coats are one of the season’s biggest trends and consumers can go faux fur as well.
Oversized Bags. While the oversized Louis Vuitton bag dominated the 80’s and in recent years it was the time for the clutch or nylon backpack from the 90’s, the big bag is back. This does not mean one is a “bag lady” either. This fall fashion item is one that any consumer cannot do without this season, whether a clutch, oversized purse or backpack.
Lace-up Boots. The history of boots is an interesting one, originating 12,000 B.C.E. from Spain and widely popular in the military throughout the years. Today, lace-up boots are the sexy fashion accessory from foot to thigh; no matter what the color.
Single Earring. Earrings have been known to be the oldest form of body modification worn by men and women alike. The single earring trend is back and apparently here to stay. The single earring look is typically one very large earring and can be a hoop, feather or long, dangly earring. This fashion trend is also great for a stocking stuffer as well.
Matchy-Matchy. The trend of being too “Matchy-Matchy” has been frowned on in the past and the look is now back in a moderate theme. Matchy-Matchy is no longer exclusive to clothing. There are many options this fall to pair a jacket with a purse for example.
